Bag of Trix Returns …

★ Roxette+Marie – More Music from the Roxette Vault ★

Today would have been Marie’s Birthday, and in her honour, we’re releasing June’s Monthly Mock-Up a couple of days early, as it’s designed especially for her this month. Happy Birthday Marie ♥

It’s been a while now since the original ‘Bag of Trix‘ was released, and it’s very quiet, peaceful you would say, on the Marie Fredriksson Catalogue front. We did get the live album released in 2025 (thank you Mr Bolyos!), but of course we all miss Marie terribly, and long to hear recordings that remain unreleased or unavailable on streaming.

So here we have Roxette+Marie – ‘Bag of Trix‘ style.

We did think about doing this as ‘The Marie Fredriksson Archives‘ just like Per’s epic ‘TPGA‘, but we just loved the whole ‘Bag of Trix‘ boxset, and thought best keeping this to more of the English songs and celebrate Marie’s part of Roxette, plus a few extras.

The Original Album

‘Bag of Trix‘ was an epic release. It was the first time Per had truly flung open the doors to The Roxette Vault, and dedicating a whole collection to Roxette. We got demos, remixes, Spanish versions, alternative takes, outtakes and even some live cuts. Many of which were previously unreleased or long out of print. It was bloody brilliant! This one, focuses in on Marie as a tribute and as we already mentioned, for today, her birthday.

Our Mock–up Design

As always, our mock-up takes its lead directly from the original ‘Bag of Trix‘ artwork, designed this time by Pär Wickholm, with only minor updates here and there. This time, we’ve only produced the LP Boxset version all pressed on black vinyl.

The tracklisting was the most difficult part. So many songs, but also “we don’t know what we don’t know” – what else is lurking in The Roxette Vault?

To that end, we stuck to the narrative that Marie was a one in a million performer, both in the studio, and live on stage. You’ll see lots of live inclusions. We’d love to see these released one day.

We have of course done a Spotify Playlist, but please note, this is not the same as the mock-up, as obviously, not all tracks are officially available.
