Our first ‘imaginary’ single from the ‘Joyride’ era, one of a couple in fact that will pop up later on too. “Keep Keep!”

Now this one did get us thinking, as it was unusual that an album track got the remix treatment. Was it supposed to be a single? The final single from ‘Joyride‘?

We do share the theory from our chum, Barry, on this one (Do check out his website: www.roxette.nl – amazing desktop and mobile wallpapers!). ‘Knockin” must have been earmarked as a single, otherwise, why would it have had a random remix lined up? Then, along came final single ‘Church of your Heart‘, and the wonderfully summery ‘How Do You Do!‘ kicking off the ‘TOURISM‘ era.

‘Knockin” started life off quite differently, entitled ‘Rocket‘ that was an OK demo, but didn’t quite spark with the Rox gang when they first heard it. Not to be beaten, Per later revisited it, and it became ‘Knockin’ On Every Door‘ which thankfully, the Rox gang loved.

Would this have been another hit for Roxette had it been the final ‘Joyride‘ single? It’s a funky number, we think it would have done well. Would be great to hear it resurrected for the 2026 TOUR too.
