Forty years since the release of Pearls of Passion, Roxette’s extraordinary recording career is being celebrated with ROXETTE: THE ROXBOX – THE COMPLETE STUDIO ALBUMS, bringing together all ten of the duo’s studio albums on vinyl for the very first time.

Spanning three decades, from their 1986 debut through to 2016’s Good Karma, the strictly limited-edition collection presents the complete Roxette studio album catalogue on exclusive coloured vinyl, housed together in a deluxe anniversary box. Also included is a specially created 28-page booklet featuring previously unseen images and new commentary from Per Gessle, looking back across the music, memories and remarkable journey behind the albums.

Formed by Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle in 1986, Roxette grew from Swedish pop newcomers into one of the country’s biggest-ever international music exports. Their breakthrough came with 1988’s Look Sharp!, launching a run of worldwide hits that included ‘The Look’, ‘Listen To Your Heart’, ‘It Must Have Been Love’, ‘Joyride’, ‘Fading Like A Flower’, ‘How Do You Do!’, ‘Sleeping In My Car’ and many more. Roxette would go on to sell more than 80 million records worldwide, with four US No.1 singles and a catalogue that continues to reach generations of listeners.

In 2026, forty years after Roxette’s story began, their music remains as vibrant as ever. Taken together, these ten albums chart an extraordinary evolution, from the youthful energy of Pearls of Passion, through the global pop phenomenon of Look Sharp! and Joyride, to the experimentation, maturity and renewed creative energy of their later work.

For the first time, that complete studio journey can now be experienced in one definitive vinyl collection.

Pearls of Passion (1986; Exclusive Cream Coloured Vinyl)

Released in 1986, Pearls of Passion is where the Roxette story begins. Bringing together two already established Swedish artists, Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle, the album introduced the combination that would become unmistakably Roxette: Per’s instinctive pop songwriting, Marie’s extraordinary voice and a production style built around melody, energy and hooks. Songs including ‘Neverending Love’, ‘Goodbye To You’, ‘Soul Deep’ and ‘I Call Your Name’ established the duo in their homeland and laid the foundations for everything that followed. Heard four decades later, Pearls of Passion captures Roxette before the world arrived, ambitious, restless and already sounding like nobody else.

Look Sharp! (1988; Exclusive Red Coloured Vinyl)

Two years later came the album that changed everything. Look Sharp! transformed Roxette from Swedish success story into an international phenomenon, propelled by ‘The Look’, ‘Dressed For Success’, ‘Listen To Your Heart’ and ‘Dangerous’. Famously, an American exchange student took the album home to Minneapolis, where ‘The Look’ found its way onto local radio before spreading across the US. The song subsequently topped the Billboard Hot 100, with ‘Listen To Your Heart’ giving Roxette another US No.1. The album went on to sell millions around the world, establishing Marie and Per as one of pop’s most distinctive partnerships.

Joyride (1991; Exclusive Green Coloured Vinyl)

By the time Joyride arrived in 1991, Roxette were operating on a truly global scale. Its irresistible title track became another US No.1, while ‘Fading Like A Flower (Every Time You Leave)’, ‘Spending My Time’, ‘The Big L.’ and ‘Church Of Your Heart’ demonstrated just how broad the Roxette sound had become. Huge choruses sat alongside intimate ballads, acoustic textures and gleaming pop production, with Marie and Per effortlessly trading the spotlight. Released at the height of Roxette mania, Joyride remains one of the defining pop albums of the early 90s and the sound of a band discovering just how far their music could travel.

TOURISM (1992; Exclusive Marble Coloured Vinyls)

Never a band interested in standing still, Roxette followed Joyride with one of the most unusual records in their catalogue. Subtitled Songs From Studios, Stages, Hotelrooms & Other Strange Places, TOURISM blurred the line between studio album, live document and musical travelogue. Recorded as Roxette toured the world, it mixed newly recorded material with live performances and songs captured in locations far beyond the traditional studio. ‘How Do You Do!’, ‘Queen Of Rain’ and ‘Fingertips ’93’ became enduring favourites, while the album itself captured something rarer: the sound of Roxette in motion, documenting life inside one of the biggest international tours of their career.

Crash! Boom! Bang! (1994; Exclusive Chequer Coloured Vinyls)

With Crash! Boom! Bang!, Roxette entered the mid-90s with a bigger, darker and increasingly guitar-driven sound. ‘Sleeping In My Car’ arrived with all the immediacy of classic Roxette, while the dramatic title track showcased Marie Fredriksson at her most powerful. ‘Fireworks’, ‘Run To You’ and ‘Vulnerable’ revealed different sides of an album that moved confidently between widescreen rock, shimmering pop and some of Per Gessle’s most emotional songwriting. Its release was followed by another major world tour, reinforcing Roxette’s position not simply as chart regulars, but as a formidable international live act.

Have A Nice Day (1999; Exclusive Pink Coloured Vinyls)

Five years after Crash! Boom! Bang!, Roxette returned with an album that deliberately looked forward rather than backwards. Have A Nice Day embraced electronic textures, contemporary production and new sonic colours without losing the melodies at the heart of Roxette’s identity. ‘Wish I Could Fly’ became one of the duo’s great latter-period singles, joined by ‘Anyone’, ‘Stars’ and ‘Salvation’. The result was an album that sounded recognisably Roxette while refusing to simply recreate their earlier successes. Bold, polished and frequently experimental, Have A Nice Dayopened a new chapter for Marie and Per as they entered a very different pop landscape at the end of the millennium.

Room Service (2001; Exclusive ‘Yellow Room’ Coloured Vinyl)

If Have A Nice Day found Roxette exploring new territory, Room Service tightened the focus. Released in 2001, the album combined bright electronic production with the concise melodies and immediate choruses that had always powered the duo’s best work. ‘The Centre Of The Heart’ led the way, followed by ‘Real Sugar’ and the beautifully understated ‘Milk And Toast And Honey’. Playful, sleek and packed with melodic detail, Room Service became the final studio album released before an unexpected interruption changed the course of Roxette’s story.

Charm School (2011; Exclusive Purple Coloured Vinyl)

When Charm School appeared in 2011, its very existence felt like a celebration. After years in which Roxette’s future had been uncertain following Marie Fredriksson’s illness, Marie and Per returned to the studio and, remarkably, to the road. Their first full studio album in a decade opened with the unmistakable rush of ‘Way Out’ before ‘She’s Got Nothing On (But The Radio)’ announced that Roxette’s pop instincts remained firmly intact. Rather than attempting to recreate the past, Charm School captured a reunited Roxette with renewed purpose, mixing classic songwriting with a rougher, more organic edge and beginning an extraordinary second act in the duo’s career.

Travelling (2012; Exclusive Turquoise Coloured Vinyls)

Two decades after TOURISM, Roxette returned to its original idea with Travelling. Once again, the traditional recording studio was only part of the story. New songs, reworked recordings and performances captured during Roxette’s return to touring were brought together into an album designed to document a band on the move. Led by ‘It’s Possible’, Travelling has the spontaneity of a musical scrapbook, moving between polished pop and more intimate moments while reconnecting the duo’s present with their past. Where TOURISM documented Roxette at their early-90s commercial peak, Travelling captured something equally significant: Marie, Per and the band back out in the world making music together again.

Good Karma (2016; Exclusive Amber ‘Smoke’ Coloured Vinyl)

Thirty years after Pearls of Passion, Roxette released their tenth studio album. Good Karma brought the catalogue full circle while pushing once again into fresh territory, combining the melodic heart of classic Roxette with contemporary electronic production. Lead single ‘It Just Happens’ reunited Marie and Per’s voices on one of the album’s defining songs, while ‘Some Other Summer’, ‘Why Don’tcha?’ and the title track revealed a duo still eager to experiment. Per described the aim as combining the classic Roxette sound with something modern and less predictable, and the result became a fitting final studio chapter for Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle’s remarkable recording partnership. The album celebrates it’s own 10th Anniversary in 2026.
