Roxette is working on new album

Swedish newspaper Expressen reveals today that Roxette is already working on the next album. The working name? 2rism! “We’ve already started recording songs,” says Per Gessle. The album is recorded on tour, like its predecessor Tourism, in hotelrooms, local studios and during soundchecks. “All new material,” claims Per. He has also gone through his archives and found old recordings with Marie. “We have songs with a young Marie, before she got ill. We will use her vocals and record new backgrounds.”

So far Roxette has performed before more than half a million people on this tour. When the tour is over 1.3 million will be reached. “This success is a bonus for us. We had never expected this!” says Per and continues “After some concerts people have been surprised that we play all live, no pre-recorded cheats.” Right now it seems the tour will go on well into 2012.
