Öresund Bridge is 15 years old today. #PerGessle with the help of Clarence Öfwerman and Christoffer Lundquist wrote an instrumental song (View from the Bridge) for the inauguration which was performed at the event by an orchestra. Per says he prefers the arrangement that Clarence and Christoffer did. Clarence says when Chris and he went to Denmark for the rehearsals with the orchestra they were like “what’s this?”. Everything had been changed, it was still nice, but the arrangements were messed up. He actually thought Per should record this one in the proper way, as they created it and release it. He even mentioned they should put the demo somewhere. Well… :) /PP Listen to the demo in its original arrangement from The Per Gessle Archives – Demos & Other Fun Stuff!, Vol. 4: https://play.spotify.com/album/5nGEPFXeoLdSWpLxCpM52Z Per and Sven talking about VFTB: https://play.spotify.com/album/5nGEPFXeoLdSWpLxCpM52Z Per to Aftonbladet back in 2000: ”Aside from the fact that it obviously feels great that I was asked, it was also a real challenge. It is always extra exciting to try new genres. But honestly, I’ll be glad when this is over. I am basically a rock’n’roll guy.”
