Remembrance book for Marie Fredriksson
Dear fellow friends, dear fans of Marie Fredriksson, dear Roxette fans, dear kind people in this world,
our friend Marie has passed away on December 9, and many, many people in the world are heartbroken and would like to express their feelings. Not everyone can do so on the social media, not everyone can do so by coming to Sweden and signing the official remembrance book laid out in Stockholm.
We want to collect your thoughts, your grieve, but also your finest memories with Marie here. Please write down what you always wanted to say to her, we will collect each single entry of yours, put them into one single book and send it over to Marie’s family to show them how much she made this world better through you.

The Daily Roxette had one copy of the book printed early January 2020 and handed it over to Marie Dimberg, Roxette’s manager and a very good friend of Marie Fredriksson and her family, in Göteborg on January 20, 2020. The printed version of the book is nearly 800 pages thick and it has a white cover. Its title “Tack för allt Marie” (Thank you for everything Marie) is written in silver and red letters on its sleeve.
Here you see some quick photos of the book, sadly there has never been a chance to take proper photos of this one copy as it arrived just before the evening we headed to Göteborg for the “En kväll för Marie Fredriksson” show.

I awoke today to the shocking news that Marie had sadly passed away. This has shocked me to my core. Growing up I came across the music of roxette and it became the soundtrack to my life whether good or bad times the music was always there to bring happiness to my life. i always loved Marie's voice but most of all how warm and caring she was towards her fans even when she faced real difficult times with her health she would always have a warm smile for us fans. It's hard to see a world without her in it anymore but she left a beautiful legacy of music for us. My heart goes out to all Marie's family and friends at this sad times and also to all the other fans we all feel the sadness of her passing. Rest in peace Marie.xxxxxxxx
The voice of my generation and an extremely gracious and courageous woman... I will always remember that unforgettable night at Terra Vibe in Athens, Greece in 2011 under pouring rain. Thank you for the music! Your Greek fans... RIP Marie
Me gustaria expresar mi mas sentido pesame a los familiares, en especial a su marido y dos hijos. Se ha apagado una de las grandes voces del pop de los años 80, siempre permanecerá en nuestros pensamientos. Always in our hearts since the very first school memories where we were trying to imitate your perfect voice with my bestie or try to wear these tight leather pants and have our hair made ‘Marie style’! True lady on stage your big heart and your kindness reflected all over, from those times we saw you on stage although we did not know you in person. You touched our hearts and our childhood dreams forever. We have even included your name and Per’s in our little childhood imaginary band...you have neven really gone as your voice and your songs will be listened to forever. I was introduced to roxette by my first love back when I was 15! I’m 40 now and enjoy the music as much now as I did then.

From the moment I heard the Look, I was a fan forever. Marie opitimised all the classic traits of the ideal female rock star while being one of the most humble and stoic. It's hard to believe the news but thank you for all the amazing gifts you gave. My condolences to your family, Per, the band and all the fans. I'm so happy I had the opportunity to see the band perform on the last world tour in Toronto. You will be deeply missed.
