★ The Daily Roxette Archives

One of my very first important live shows was at the Roundhouse in London in 1977. It was Motorhead headlining. And it was the loudest music I've ever encountered and me and my Swedish teenage buddies just loved it. Lemmy's guitarpicks were all over the place and Philthy Animal on the drums was just awesome. So fast, so furious and so heavy. I bought their single "Motorhead" on 12-inch vinyl at the Rock On store the day after. Still have it. Still cherish it. Now I just heard that Philthy A died. Sad news. Great drummer. Great band. Oh the 70's! /P.
