En vacker kväll in Helsingborg
HELSINGBORG – Per Gessle’s Summer Tour 2017 – En vacker kväll finally kicked off at Sofiero in Helsingborg tonight. The opening acts were the Strandels and Good Harvest.
It was a gorgeous, albeit a bit cold, summer night. The concert was sold out as far as we know. Per was in a brilliant mood and played many familiar songs. He also told the audience that he’d found the band members on a dating site… and what’s really odd is that he played songs from his 40 year spanning career, which can’t be since Per himself is only 33.
Maybe the set list was a bit too “safe” but at least people know what they will get. The only songs that really stood out were Gyllene Tider’s “Honung och guld” from 1982’s album Puls and “Varmt igen” from 2003’s Mazarin. Much appreciated! And thankfully, no “Billy”.
The band was as always super tight. Extra credit goes to Helena who has really grown as a singer and performer, and to Quincy, the new drummer who gave the songs that extra bounce.
