This one was almost the same as his initial demo, recorded on Boxing Day, 2001, no rest for the wicked! Then recorded and mixed properly in March + June 2002, at Polar Studios, Stockholm.

Released as the lead single for the compilation albums collecting together Roxette’s biggest Ballad + Pop Hits across two albums. ‘A Thing About You‘ was released in October 2002 and was the first release following Marie’s diagnosis and subsequent health issues.

Regardless, the song went on to be a hit in several countries and was received well by critics. A video was shot, directed again by long-time collaborator Jonas Åkerlund. Both Marie and Per looked amazing and the video was a clever split across two Apartments.

In the UK, the song was played quite a bit and reached #77 on the Charts. The Ballads Hits album did immensely better.
