24 years today? Wow! Thanx RoxetteBlog for reminding us and the world!

TOURISM was recorded all over the planet during that fab Join the Joyride Tour in 1991-92. It included a few leftovers from “Look Sharp!” + “Joyride” but also brand new stuff like “How Do You Do!”, “Fingertips”, “Keep Me Waiting” + “The Rain” and some live stuff, of course.

The mighty “Queen Of Rain” was supposed to be the finale on the Joyride-LP but was replaced by “Perfect Day” in the last minute since the very talented Vicki Benckert could play the accordion live. What a treat! It made the concerts very special at the time, remember? “Queen Of Rain” became a really wonderful album closer on Tourism instead.

Hi-lites for me were Marie’s stunning vocal performance on “Never Is A Long Time” (recorded in a closed down nightclub in Sao Paulo) + “The Heart Shaped Sea” which sounded really wonderful recorded at the mindblowing Ocean Way Studio in L.A.

Glad we made it.
Cheers, P.
