The Daily Roxette presents ROX40
★ Monthly Mock-Ups! ★ August ★
We’re already on our 8th Monthly Mock-Up for 2026 as part of the wider #ROX40 Celebrations! Did someone order some more ‘Room Service’?
★ ROOM SERVICE LIVE! BLURAY ★
Seeing as we’re right in the middle of the ‘ROOM SERVICE‘ era on the #ROX40 Countdown, we thought we carry on the theme.
In 2001, Roxette returned to the stage with ‘ROOM SERVICE‘, their first full concert tour in almost six years.
Before the full-scale Arena production began, the album was introduced through three special Showcase Gigs: Cologne on 26 March, Barcelona on 27 March and Café Opera in Stockholm on 1 April. The Stockholm performance marked Roxette’s first concert in Sweden for five years.
These were not stripped-back promotional appearances. The compact ‘club set’ mixed new songs including #1 Single ‘The Centre of the Heart’ and ‘Real Sugar’ alongside established Roxette classics. It also featured a slower, completely reworked version of ‘Stars’, while Marie moved to the piano for mega-hit ‘It Must Have Been Love’.
The full ‘ROOM SERVICE TOUR‘ opened at Munich’s Olympiahalle on 28 September.
Over the following seven weeks, Roxette played across Europe, ending at Scandinavium in Gothenburg on 17 November. It was a bold, colourful full-on Arena show which placed the sleek pop of ‘ROOM SERVICE‘ alongside a catalogue already packed with international hits.
It would also become Roxette’s final full tour for almost a decade, giving the performances an added significance when viewed today. Twenty-five years later, ‘ROOM SERVICE‘ remains a distinctive chapter in the Roxette story, confident, polished and built for the stage.
The album’s 25th Anniversary will be celebrated with special editions released 4th September, including its debut on double vinyl. Indeed, there will be a Standard Black and a Limited Edition Coloured Double Vinyl. Other formats, track listings and release dates are still to be confirmed at the time of writing. We’re VERY excited…“Gimme Gimme Real Sugar!!!!”
★ Our Mock-Up Design
We take inspiration from the official Roxette releases.
This time, the original ‘Room Service Tour‘ Poster, as well as the ‘All The Videos Ever Made And More‘ DVD.
Photography and Design was by Jonas Åkerlund in the main along with Roxette, also screenshots from the gigs themselves are included here and there. Good old YouTube as well as Roxette Official Facebook coming in very handy.
The ‘All The Videos Ever Made And More‘ was designed by Karl-Magnus Boske.
★ The Bluray Contents
Here we have an imaginary bluray release, collecting together:
★ Room Service Tour – Live at Globen (as it was then), Stockholm 2001
★ 3 x Showcase Gigs for the Album Launch, Stockholm, Barcelona and Cologne, also 2001.
★ All the ‘ROOM SERVICE‘ Videos: ‘The Centre of the Heart‘, ‘Real Sugar‘, ‘Milk And Toast And Honey‘
★ A brand new 25th Anniversary video for ‘Looking For Jane‘
★ Finally, a Behind The Scenes at The Madonna Inn of the video and album cover shoot by Jonas Åkerlund.
All housed on one bluray disc. Super!
Now, before anyone comments (always the way)… YES! We know that the ‘Room Service Tour‘ concert in Stockholm was only filmed in Web Streaming Quality. Remember, these mock-ups are just for fun, they’re not real. This would have been an awesome collection however, collating together the ‘Room Service Live‘ events. We certainly would have bought this had it been officially released.

Original ‘Room Service‘ Photographs and Original Design by Jonas Åkerlund, Tempel and Roxette Official.
Definitely one of our favourite photoshoots from the Roxette Catalogue.
Want to watch one of the shows?
Thanx to the YouTubers who uploaded these videos!
Next Month
We’ll be back next month with another brand-new mock-up.
What could it be? Any suggestions?
In the meantime, go order some ‘Room Service‘…
