Remembrance book for Marie Fredriksson

Dear fellow friends, dear fans of Marie Fredriksson, dear Roxette fans, dear kind people in this world,

our friend Marie has passed away on December 9, and many, many people in the world are heartbroken and would like to express their feelings. Not everyone can do so on the social media, not everyone can do so by coming to Sweden and signing the official remembrance book laid out in Stockholm.

We want to collect your thoughts, your grieve, but also your finest memories with Marie here. Please write down what you always wanted to say to her, we will collect each single entry of yours, put them into one single book and send it over to Marie’s family to show them how much she made this world better through you.

Thank you.

[All entries made before January 1, 2020 were taken over for the book. You will still be able to add your messages now but we cannot consider them for the book to Marie’s family anymore as it has been printed by now.]

The Daily Roxette had one copy of the book printed early January 2020 and handed it over to Marie Dimberg, Roxette’s manager and a very good friend of Marie Fredriksson and her family, in Göteborg on January 20, 2020. The printed version of the book is nearly 800 pages thick and it has a white cover. Its title “Tack för allt Marie” (Thank you for everything Marie) is written in silver and red letters on its sleeve.
Here you see some quick photos of the book, sadly there has never been a chance to take proper photos of this one copy as it arrived just before the evening we headed to Göteborg for the “En kväll för Marie Fredriksson” show.

If you are interested, you can download a simplified version (the printed version contains a few more blank pages to separate the chapters, for instance) of the book with all entries right here.
The entries are sorted alphabetically by names, this file is also searchable.
Entries with non-latin character sets are at the very end of the book. Most URLs have been removed as they make little sense in a printed book.

U & Marie made the concert hall at both Sydney Australia and Adelaide South Australia rock and U with Marie glow. Sadly it has to be said that " it must have been love but it's over now." The ride just like a "joyride' and to that playing the drums for U guys in 97 was "almost unreal". But per listen to ur heart before you tell her goodbye".

Your voice and joy of music entered my heart when I was just a boy. Now with children of my own, it is wonderful to share my love for your music with them. I will remember you with fondness and you will be remembered by generations to come. Thank you.

Marie was a truly talented and wonderful heartfelt singer and i enjoyed immensely the concerts I was able to attend here in Australia. I am saddened not only by her loss but also that I will not be able ever again to experience the magic of listening to and seeing her and Per perform in person. Together you were amazing and thoroughly entertaining and I will always treasure those concerts I was privileged to be at and I will sadly miss her beautiful vocals that I know came from a truly beautiful person and soul but I also know that she will be sadly missed by all that loved her music but missed even more deeply by those that knew and loved her for the special person I believed her to be

Dear Marie and Per, I grew up listening to Roxette and the most beautiful thing about Roxette's numbers are that they resonate over the years to everyone regardless of how old the fans are. My all-time favourite is Listen To Your Heart. It has helped me pull through some of the worst moments of my life and I thank Marie and Per for 'being' there for me. Your songs live on in our minds and in our hearts. Rest In Peace Marie. With fond memories Shobha

Music has to bring happiness in life of everyone who wants to. I have got recognizing Roxette after release of music video 'How do you do'. The video took me over by sparkling, dazzling performance, novel and exiting sound for my native town, elaborate lyrics. I still remember the album Crash! Boom! Bang!, which was released 1994. It reminded me a box of lacorice candies of different tastes, which were offered as each taste for each song. The album was intensively promoted in my native town. Surroundings of a person often determine music tastes starting from childhood. I left an apartment brand new morning 2001 and revealed huge posters around centre of district, from I lived on five minutes walk. I had been living in Hamburg (Germany) then. This was part of a promotional campaign for the new album Room Service. Marketing people regularly deliver such events after marketing mix with their 4 P approach. This album is still one of the best among albums of the group in my opinion. Marie Fredriksson reputed to be extraordinary artist. We always liked her good, attractive appearance combined with feminine charm. She showed outstanding talent what deserved our respect and delight. Her soft, pleasant voice with appropriate, emotional intonations created particular mood and attitude, although she lacked personal charisma on my opinion. Everybody faces end of own life. Marie Fredriksson passed away. She deserved to be perpetuated even if a composite RCC is for buy. She shall proceed staying alive in memory of greatful audiences who were supported, recovered, amused by Marie. Bye-bye Marie.

Dear Marie's friends and family, After all these months, I still find it difficult to find the right words to express ally gratitude to Per's songs coupled with Marie's powerful yet sensitive performance. Both in studio and live, she gave her best vocals and passion for music. I have to admit that I fell unconditionally for Roxette once I heard that unmatched and beautifully high-pitched Dressed for Success' "YEAH, YEAH, YEAH!" Thanks you, Marie, for bringing joy to my life in a time where I needed it the most.y heartfelt condolences to Marie's family and friends. César. Xxx

Thank you for the music, and your beautiful voice ❤️??.. Per songs and your voice got me though teenage years... The first concert for me was in 91 in Oslo.. Is was amazing... I loved everything about you.. The last time I saw you was in Copenhagen in 2011.. I was so “ disappointed” because of her voice... I’m now ashamed and disappointed over my self., that I didn’t appreciate your voice and the concert. Tank you for everything.. RIP Marie. Love you forever ❤️
