EMI USA shut down

The US label of EMI, EMI Records, has been closed on Friday, tells Billboard Online. The shut-down meant the loss of 120-130 jobs. This doesn't affect Roxette which didn't have a contract EMI Records anymore. Roxette has had troubles with their promotion in the US because of EMI Records and that's why they didn't make a deal with that record company. Most likely Roxette will make a deal with Virgin, but we'll see, as they say. Billboard Online
