Single out today, song clips on Gyllene Tider web site
STOCKHOLM - Gyllene Tider's double A-sided single "Tuffa Tider / En sten vid en sjö i en skog" hits the stores today with very positive reviews from various media. RixFM, one of Sweden's biggest radio stations, added "Tuffa tider" to their playlist on Monday morning as this week's "hit warning". Expressen's Anders Nunstedt wrote that this summer belongs to Gyllene Tider. "Don't worry if you don't hear this song today, they will play it tomorrow, and the rest of the year…"
To celebrate the release, Gyllene Tider has published clips of six new songs on their official web site. The songs are "En sten vid en sjö i en skog", "Tuffa tider (för en drömmare)", "Solsken", "Ta mej… nu är jag din!", "Du måste skämta" and "Jag borde förstås vetat bättre".

En sten vid en sjö i en skog (A Rock by a…)
Was written in Stockholm at the end of October 2003 after we decided to try out an "album" with GT. This felt really typical Gyllene and it's important to start out with a song to "guide the way"… I insisted that I get to play the guitar solo since I'd already made a neck breaking try on my demo
Jag borde förstås vetat bättre (I Of Course Should've Known Better)
Was fiddling with my guitar with capos on the fifth fret and this song was born. We're talking Stockholm and October 2003. One of my favorites. We hesitated a long while if we were to include Phil Spector-strings but it turned out really awesome… Fritzon in top shape on the piano!
Solsken (Sunshine)
A very, very late and wet night down in the studio in Skåne, Clarence, Christoffer and I was listening to song embryos that I had on a cassette tape.
This song came up! I had actually forgotten all about it (was written last fall somewhen…) but C&C fell in love so I decided to write some lyrics and finish it.
Ta mej… nu är jag din! (Take Me… I'm Yours Now!)
Among the last that was written for Finn5Fel! We needed something rowdy and I had this Summertime Blues-riff in the back of my head. There are lots of versions of this in my archives with different choruses. This one is the best! Micke plays amazing drums here. Nice guitar duel between MP and me. Almost like Bio Reflex in Getinge 1978…
Tuffa tider (för en drömmare) (Tough Times)
Almost always when you get your hands on a new, unfamiliar instrument there is a new idea for a song!! It happened when I bought my first Rickenbacker 12-string 1982 (from Basse Wickman!). Then I wrote "Vandrar i ett sommarregn" that same night. Same thing here.
I bought a ukulele after I had seen a documentary about George Harrison (seems he never traveled without a ukulele, bless his soul!!!) and I sat down trying to figure out the logic and learn some chords… and… "Tuffa tider" was born in fifteen minutes…
In the studio Clarence and Christoffer insisted that this would be a summery reggae thing and… why not… MP plays the ocarina inspired by "Wild Thing" by the Troggs in case someone is wondering…
Du måste skämta (You've Got to be Kidding)
Was written during my vacation in Mauritius this January. I always travel with a guitar and some simple recording equipment.
The original demo was made on the plane though, in my cell phone…
