What is “Roxette Medley”?

Message from a reader:

I found a CD on the net (All-Music Guide, www.allmusic.com ), it’s called Roxette Medley and is by Unlimited Beat band. Published in July 98 I guess. It contains many Roxette songs (remixes as I suggest).

Unlimited Beat’s “Roxette Medley” is a CD single which contains 3 tracks: “Roxette Radio Medley” (5.56), “Roxette Extended Medley” (12.02) and “Unlimited Beat” (5.33). Both medleys contain dance covers of “The Look”, “Fading Like A Flower”, “Joyride”, “How Do You Do!”, “Sleeping In My Car”, “It Must Have Been Love”, “Spending My Time” and “Listen To Your Heart”. On the extended version the parts are longer, that’s why it lasts over 12 minutes.

Personally, I don’t think the medleys are very good. The woman who sings the vocals isn’t as good as Marie and the “Per” of the medley has an awful Australian accent (sorry Aussies! 🙂

The single is released by Dance Trax in Australia, 1998. The call number is DT 014. The medleys are remixed by Nicholas Agamalis. The single is available at least at Amazon.com.
