Touching moments: The Daily Roxette readers met Marie and Per
A few days ago, The Daily Roxette ran a competition for a meet & greet with Roxette in Warsaw. Together with the Polish Roxette fan club, we were allowed to choose seven people who had the chance to meet Marie and Per right before the show. Just in time, the chosen ones met in front of the venue and were then lead into the backstage area where the waiting began. While killing time and being watched by the guards, our dear readers experienced their first surprise when suddenly the door opened and Helena came out, obviously as surprised as the waiting fans. Smiling and friendly as she is, she immediately agreed on taking a couple of funny pictures with the fans.
Just a few minutes later, the door opened again and indeed, Marie and Per came out. Big smiles on both sides, the guards had a hard time keeping everyone at their determined places. While this reporter and the local “guardian dwarf” were very (!) busy negotiating the rules of the group photo to be taken the next moment, the fans and Per were talking about Polish F1 racer Robert Kubica and the difficulties of the Polish language. In the meantime, Marie signed a lot of stuff people had brought which again led Per to overtrump this by signing everyone’s arms. After two minutes, the announced group photo was taken (see above, dwarf included), both Roxette and fans wished each other a lot of fun for the upcoming show, then their ways departed. Not for long since they met back 15 minutes later in the hall. Roxette on the stage, the fans in front of it. The report about this memorable concert will follow tomorrow.
Ett stort tack to Roxette’s management d&d for making this moment happen!
