Roxette plays to enthusiastic, sold out house in Buenos Aires

BUENOS AIRES — Luna Park was packed to the rafters tonight when Roxette took the stage shortly after 9pm. Unfortunately, it became so hot and closed-in near the stage that a half dozen or so fans had to be lifted out by the security team during the first few opening songs.

Both Per and Marie were in fine form, with Marie looking even more confident than ever before during the Charm School tour and strutting across the stage several times. Indeed, several fans commented to this reporter that is was a first class performance.

A new rock-n-roll version of “Stars” was included in the set list and Christoffer Lundquist played tango music during his introduction in this city where the tango is an intergral part of the culture. So, of course, the crowd went wild with appreciation!

Fans from other countries included (not necessarily a complete list) Mexico, Chile, Uruguay, Brazil, the United States and Peru.

The following video gives a pretty good idea of just how enthusiastic the crowd was. This level of excitement was present throughout the entire concert. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7IiG46B65Oo
