Per will release not one, but two books September 25: Texter, klotter & funderingar – den svenska delen about all his Swedish releases, obviously in Swedish, and its English counterpart Songs, Sketches & Reflections – the English part. The books are released on Roos & Tegnér as Gyllene Tider’s book was.

Per Gessle is one of Sweden’s most successful artists of all time. Together with Marie Fredriksson and Roxette he has had four songs at the top of Billboard Hot 100 and has sold over 75 million records around the world. For the first time he now speaks open-heartedly about his songwriting, from the debut in the late seventies as far as today.

Welcome to Per’s musical universe. Generously he shares drawings and notes from his own studio diaries, hand- and typewritten original lyrics with comments and private pictures. The book also presents a personal and exclusive dialogue with the music journalist Sven Lindström, in which Per reveals his sources of inspiration, his musical role models and his thoughts about music and lyrics.
