Per Gessle hosts Apple Music’s Pure Throwback Radio “Movie Hits Essentials” — Have you ever found yourself sitting around, staring at the wall, and thinking, “I wonder what Per Gessle’s favorite James Bond theme is?”

This article is one of many created by "Good Reporters", guest authors writing for The Daily Roxette. You can become a good reporter as well. Please check www.dailyroxette.com/reporter for details.

Please say you have because it’ll be awkward otherwise. Well, even if you haven’t, Gessle, Per Gessle has the answer in a new episode of Apple Music’s Pure Throwback Radio. The hitmaker was tapped to play some of his all-time favorite “Movie Hits Essentials.” There are quite a few surprises in the 1-hour 40-minute special. If you’re a Roxette fan, you can probably predict some of the artists who appear based simply on Per’s musical influences. So yes, there is a song from the Beatles. Sir Elton John, Blondie, Kenny Rogers (!!) and Jeff Bridges (?!) also make appearances.

There is also a track from one of the best-selling duos of all time. No, not that one – Simon and Garfunkel. The song played was originally titled “Mrs. Roosevelt.” Think you know what it is? SPOILER ALERT: There are some Roxette songs among the hits. One of the songs is pretty easy to figure out, but another might require you to find a special “power up” mushroom to come up with its title. So if you are looking for the perfect soundtrack to play while you’re sitting poolside or just want to listen to some cool Per-approved hits, be sure to check it out!

PS: The answer to the James Bond question is at the very top of the episode, so you won’t have to wait too long to learn the answer!
