Per suggests taking Roxette on tour - next summer!

HALMSTAD - “Night of the Proms” aside, Per Gessle wants to take Roxette out on tour again soon, probably next summer, according to a report published today in several Swedish newpapers.
“It would be really fun to do a summer tour and play in Sweden. We played in Göteborg and Stockholm the last time, and it would be great to make a big Greatest Hits tour. But this can only happen if there´s a possibility to do it abroad as well,” Per said to Mikael Forsell, a reporter for Swedish news bureau Tidningarnas Telegrambyrå (TT).
“Roxette seem to have a renewed energy,” Forsell wrote. “What turned the spark on again was the tour this past autumn.”
“It was fantastic to do that tour, and to be able to sell 8,000-10,000 tickets in those cities and still have an audience,” said Per.

Don´t know what to say! Cool! It´s so great that his new songs sound abit like SIMC (always loved that song)! Sounds fantastic in my eyes, but why doesn´t Per like German TV-shows... *lol*

Wow! this is great! I´m really loo‘king forward to it. Per has said somewhere that he would love to play at Örjans Vall in Halmstad, well, it might be next summer! I will se more than one consert, trust me! All conserts in Sweden, at least!

I must say that I understand purplemedusa, I think that the consert in Johannesburg 1995 is one of the best, maybe the best performance ever by Roxette.

I really hope so, a few shows down in OZ would be great, wouldn’t hurt the sales of the new compilations either!! and a live DVD would top it all off nicely :-)

Hey people... there’s a saying that goes: “Good things come to those that wait”. That seems to be pretty applicable right now. To all of those that kept complaining about one thing or another, things are looking pretty bright right now, aren’t they? The bottom line (as I see it) is that we’re all pretty freaking lucky that Per & Marie are still making any music at all, as a good portion of artists quit before their 40’s. I mean think of this: less than a year ago, most of us were enjoying an wonderful Roxette tour. Now, in a matter of weeks, we’ll have 1 new song, followed by 4 more in November. Plus, another 4/5 new songs by next spring. Now, we learn that Per will be releasing a great new solo album soon as well! Not to mention the possibility of as summer tour in 2003. Call me crazy, but I think Roxette fans are about the luckiest fans on earth right about now!

One of my favourite musical memories was the Joyride Tour of the UK in ’92. 10 years on the music is just as good, and it would be great to see Roxette back in Britain.
