Per Gessle to perform his Ramones cover on “Bingolotto”

Per Gessle will perform his cover of the Ramones’ “I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend” on the April 20th installment of the Swedish television program “Bingolotto.” The song is Per’s contribution to the Ramones CD tribute album “The Song Ramones the Same” - due out on April 15th. The show is broadcast on TV4.

Yashar: What´s your problem?? Why bash at these good news? Isn´t it every persons right to contribute with stuff? I think that these kind of news are 1000000 times better than articles about how well/bad EMI are doing or if a band makes tribute cd´s (no offense).
And if you have news about Roxette, why don´t you share them with us instead of mumbling??

anyways, its good news either way. maybe if the people can hear per’s voice on the radio and vjs & djs announce who he is it actually might help roxette for their next album. we’ve all complained about not hearing Per and his singles released on these Roxette albums well, here’s his chance to be heard again and eventually when new stuff from roxette comes out will possiblt hear him again! there’s always hope–stop this bickering–let’s be optomistic here!

and this is officially a SOLO song,,, let’s hope it really is good... and if we get a single, perhaps we get som nice Per solo B-sides aswell, as forgotten demos or something...

Well, we got good news–Roxette is relaxing after a week of studio time w/ Clarence. So I guess there will be more Roxette material in the near future. Some of us can’t get enough and start bickering about it–well, like I said earlier, start your own band and write your own music!! Anyways, yes Per is probably 60-70% of Roxette considering that he writes the lyrics, creates the demo’s and sings(plus play a rythmn guitar) But that doesn’t make Marie less valuable. If it wan’t for her we wouldn’t have gotten that huge explosion and over blown ballads like Listen to your heart and of course, It must have been love!!!! Her voice is very important for Roxette. It would be like Abba without Frida or Agnetha–it wouldn’t be the same without either one(also same if it wasn’t for the men either)
Man, I can’t wait for the new Roxette Material!!! Wooohoooo–I bet it’s gonna be kick-ass(better than HAND or RS) what do you guys think?

I guess the scheduled Bingolotto performance won’t be delayed, it is just a playback thing after all. And, I don’t know what to believe, but according to Metro newspaper there is a release party in Sthlm right on April 15...

Hi everyone!
I just wanted to say that I agree with gyllene_tjej, in reference to what an anonymous supposed Roxette fan wrote about Roxette without Marie.
Roxette can’t in any way exist without Marie, who is exactly the 50% of the band. Marie is not just a voice (an incredible one, by the way), because the way she sings Per’s songs make those songs what they are.
And I can’t imagine Roxette live performances without Marie....she gives everything on stage, and is the reference of the crowd with no doubt.
The best proof of all of that is the album “The World According To Gessle”: it’s a great album, with Roxette sound but without Marie....and I’m sure we all agree that it’s not the same...
