Possible UK Fan Meeting?

Hey UK Roxers!

All the talk about a possible (if ever-so-slight) new Roxette album has given me the idea to try and arrange a follow up to the Roxette Fan Meeting we had a couple of years ago. That was so much fun last time, especially for the people who stuck around for the Sunday night as well!

This is not definite and should only really happen to celebrate a brand new studio album from Roxette. Of course, if people want to meet up at some other point then there should be no reason why.

So, could you let me know if you’d be interested, just to gauge interest.

I know a lot of people don’t frequent this site very much at the moment, so if you know of anyone who may want to come, let them know and ask them to email me ( pwbbounce (at) gmail . com )

Hope to hear from you!!!

Paul

I would prob be up for it. Would depend where and when it was

I don’t know...I’ll consider it, but admittedly, I’ve met none of you, so going on an excursion with a load of strangers does fill me with a smidgen of panic... :-S

I’ve a busy year but if I can fit it in I’ll come!

Paul, me you and the others had a fantastic night on the Sunday, I’ve just about recovered from the amount of money I spent on drink!

I may be interested; there are some people I would love to meet up with again!

Unfortunately i won’t be able to attend the meet if there was to be one due to family commitments but if the meet does come to fruition i hope all who attend have a wonderful time

I know, I wasn’t implying any of you are axemurderers and the like!

Whoops, best not sharpen my axe then.... ;)

I’ll come, only if there’s alcohol and back-up drugs!

@JohnUK21 - There will be alcohol, but not sure about the drugs! :-)

Thanx Ally your kind words are appreciated,so Paul where will the meet take place if there was to be one? I think Blackpool would make a good weekend,i say Blackpool because i have family there so it would make it easier for me to attend lol.

Well, I haven’t really thought about a location yet. It was just to see how many people may be interested in another meet. I think somewhere central though. Another ideas on locations anyone??

I would be interested depending on when and where etc.

Blackpool sounds like fun and a good idea! There is plenty of cheap B&B’s and cheap places to drink, the pleasure beach and some cheesy karaoke bars we could hit and make a prat of ourselves! It certainly would be a lot cheaper than visiting London again!

Mmm...at least an 8 hour wait in London to get back to Canters...perhaps not for me eh?

How about everyone suggests 2 places, and these are stuck onto a map. The area that has the most votes wins..?

London is far to overrated and expensive for my liking!

I suggest two places, Blackpool and Edinburgh (I always here Scotland is a nice place to visit!)

We’ve (well not me)already done london so it would be nice to do somewhere more central for the fans who cannot afford the trip to london & blackpool is (like ally said) cheap enough b&b wise.I’m all for blackpool myself.

Leicester? Or is that gonna be too far south? Or even better, indulge my Doctor Who fangirl and let’s make it Cardiff!

It’s gotta be more central than wales “whatever” & with blackpool being on the coast & more central i’ve got to give Blackpool the nod.

It was a joke plectrum ;-) I’d go for Leicester simply because it is central overall. And infinitely more convenient - I wouldn’t have to sleep in a doorway to get back.

Oh, and it depends what you count as central. If just England up to the border - nowhere near! If all of UK, only slightly above middle.

Don’t get me wrong “whatever” but what has leicester got to offer?(no offence) but Blackpool has everything on offer to keep all aboard happy (cheap accomodation) & just think of the fun.

I frequent Blackpool, great for a laugh. Also Newcastle is a good night out, Manchester too.

Ooh, Newcastle sounds good, hadn’t thought of there!

@ - plectrum, there’s no need to be rude, was only trying to suggest an alternative.

Newcastle would be nice! I’d not rule that out...

Bloody hell, would love to meet the ol’ crowd! What ever happend to Xarrr, Soooza & Steven?

Howzit ALLY!! ;)
