Update: Notes from Per:
1. "Elvis in Deutschland" was recorded about a year after the "Elvis in Germany" demo. I did it because I wasn't quite satisfied with the chorus of "EiG"!!! "EiD" has a totally different chorus (and different chorus lyrics) and is a ballad, sorta… but I went back to "EiG." A wise decision, if you ask me.
2. A different version of the "Every Day Outside My Window" lyrics was given to Marie a few years later and became her ballad "Every Day."
3. Same thing with "Beautiful Things, Terrible Things," which turned into her "Beautiful Things."
4. …and of course we're talking remastering here, I always felt that the original [album] sounds a bit too hard, we'll try to fix it now.
5. "Detective Jones" also exists with different lyrics, then called "Young," and was recorded by Staffan Öfwerman in the 1800s.
6. "June Afternoon" ended up on Rox's "Don't bore us" album but was meant for "TWATG" from the beginning. Micke Syd plays the drums and is brilliant. One of my best songs ever.
7. "Makin' Love to You" was written for "TWATG" too.
8. There's a demo for "Reporter" called "Writer." It's not on this album because it sounds almost exactly the same as the end result… besides the title of course.
9. The rest of the tracks were apparently also recorded as demos (it seems, I've forgotten most things) but they sound too much the same as the final album to be included. Why this snobism you wonder? Well, I want this demo album to be fun to hear for all the hardcore fans out there. As little as possible should be recognized…Now the pizza is here! /P

Cool ! Great album ! Cool to see all these bonuses !!!
ut what does he mean by “too hard”?? Is it gonna sound a bit more mellow, or “softer” ??? Nonetheless looking forward to it !! :)

This album is simply masterpiece, full of fantastic ideas, great melodies, arrangies, riffs and with fresh modern sound but retro feeling also. For me this is Per’ s musical legacy. Great that it will be released with so many bonuses. This re-releasing has meaning. Perfect work Per.
Next step will be The Universe To Geesle. I am sure. ;-)

Looks really cool, can’t wait to hear the demo’s. I love hearing how the songs came to be what they are. Interesting to hear about MLTY, JA and EveryDay. As much as i don’t like paying for the same things again, this is something extra.
If they’re remastering, i wonder if they’ll get rid of the terrible clipping on the album?

Remember the great albums before 2002 and bring that spirit and sound in the new Roxette songs.

Great news! I really hope it gets released in ARGENTINA.
Concerning Per’s comment:
“the rest of the tracks were apparently also recorded as demos (it seems, I’ve forgotten most things) but they sound too much the same as the final album to be included”,
I believe that maybe it’s time for another BAD HAIR DAY...
RobS said on February 16, 2008 08:03:
Dave, i don’t think it’s too late for a DVD to be added. Only problem would be packaging as a 3disc set. It would suck big time if they done 2 seperate releases IF there was a dvd included.
On that note, there’s nothing that i would really want, i never really liked the vids that were done for TWATG. Unless there’s a behind the scenes, i’m quite happy with the 2-disc that’s being offered.

One question:
It looks that Per has no plans this year for new solo material releases, so this might be the start for new Roxette recordings???
Hope so!!!
rossyrox said on February 16, 2008 11:07:
Well Per did say “one way or another” - I guess the June Afternoon demo may count as “another” !

I love world according! it is a great album that didn’t get the successs it deserved. A great peace of art! i hope this re edition will be successful and get all the attention it deserves , although it would be great a realise on USA. but i makes me wonder? how it could be made after so many years and taking into account the flop (unfortunately ) from the first time.
i am realy glad that per re edits this album. wish him the best . and i hope i could buy it ( i hope it is not too expensive), :D
