EMI finally published the enhanced tracklist for MTV Unplugged as featured on the RoxBox:

This is not the correct order of the tracklist (see below), for instance, “Dangerous” was played as the intro song, but all songs performed are on the DVD. The tracks “Things Will Never Be the Same,” “The Big L” and “So far away” were supposed to be played but were cut due to lack of time.
From the REACH MEDIA RELATIONS, INC. NEWS pressrelease
Swedish chart-toppers Roxette may be known as a pop band, but they showed a lot of rock ’n’ roll heart during the rehearsals for MTV’s Unplugged, which was taped in Stockholm, Sweden, January 8th [1993].
On a side-note, the tracklist for the German and Spanish “One Wish” single is identical to the Austrian release:
01 One Wish
02 The Rox Medley
03 It Must Have Been Love (Christmas For The Broken Hearted)
04 Turn To Me
This is the actual playlist.
Dangerous
Hotblooded
Spending My Time
The Heart Shaped Sea
Fingertips
Cry
I Never Loved a Man (The Way I Loved You)
Heart of Gold
Surrender
It Must Have Been Love [twice]
So You Wanna Be a Rock’n Roll Star [3 times]
Watercolors in the Rain
Fading Like a Flower
Here Comes the Weekend
The Look
Perfect Day
[End of part 1]
Listen to Your Heart
Church of Your Heart
Joyride
Queen of Rain
What follows here is one account of that day [while we were told this was an MTV press release, it was more likely written by a fan]:
In MTV Unplugged, artists turn off the smoke machines, unplug the amplifiers and get back to basics with pure unadulterated music. The series, which premiered on MTV Europe in 1990, has been critically acclaimed on both sides of the Atlantic and has featured some of the world’s greatest contemporary musicians including Paul McCartney, Eric Clapton, and Elton John.
Roxette is the first Swedish band to feature on MTV Unplugged and their appearance also marks the first recording of the show in Scandinavia. MTV Unplugged will be Roxette’s only concert appearance in 1993.
Already by early morning there were many fans standing outside the Cirkus theatre, where the show was taking Wplace. They waited patiently in the bitter cold until 6:30 pm. when it was time to take their seats. The audience were all dedicated Roxette fans who had either won tickets through competitions or were guests of EMI and MTV.
The show began with an introduction from the hostess, Rebecca de Ruvo, explaining a few things to the audience about the recording.
Then Per and Marie came on stage with Jonas Isacsson (lead guitar) and Pelle Alsing (drums) to perform the first song “Dangerous.”
After the first song Marie welcomed the audience in both Swedish and English, while the rest of the band, Staffan Öfwerman, Anders Herrlin, Clarence Öfwerman and Vicki Benckert, entered the stage.
The stage was draped in white with real candles. The band remained seated throughout and were dressed in black. Marie wore a small black beret and Per his John Lennon sunglasses.
With the entire band now assembled they played “Hotblooded,” a much slower version with a bluesy feel, quite amazing.
Next came “Spending My Time,” “The Heart Shaped Sea” and “Fingertips.”
A new version of “Cry” performed by Marie accompanied only by Jonas, was another unexpected revelation. after a while they were joined by the audience, so it almost sounded like a gospel song.
Then it was time for the first cover, an old favorite of Marie’s, Aretha Franklin’s “I Never Loved a Man (
The Way I Loved You),” which showed how accomplished Marie is at delivering soul songs.
Then it was Per’s turn with Neil Young’s “Heart of Gold,” but with Marie singing most of it, followed by “Surrender” (from the album “Pearls of Passion”) and the Tourism version of “It Must Have Been Love.”
At this point there was a short break, due to a technical hitch, but Per and Marie quickly had the audience entertained with some silly jokes and spontaneous chit chat. “so far we’re quite good aren’t we?” said Per and the audience laughed and cheered.
After introducing the band Per announced the next cover of the Byrds hit “So You Wanna Be a Rock ’n’ Roll Star,” which wasn’t actually planned, but had been improvised during rehearsal.
They then played “Watercolours in the Rain,” and a slow version of “Fading Like a Flower.” For the next song, “Here Comes the Weekend,” Pelle was actually playing a Samsonite suitcase, just like he did on the album Tourism much applause followed a fantastic blues version of “The Look” which was very special. “Queen of Rain” sounded a bit strange without keyboards, but the next one “Listen to Your Heart” performed only by Per and Marie really proved just how talented they both are.
A slower version of “Church of Your Heart” came next, followed by the first notes of “Joyride,” which was virtually unrecognizable until they begun to sing the lyrics, it was incredible. the last song was “Perfect Day,” which just about summed it up for the lucky Roxette fans who were present to witness the magic, versatility and undoubted talent of Roxette.

Question to the tracklist of the RoxBox
Every Day (Outtake From Roomservice)
Not marked? Where could one get this song before?
Thanx.

“On a side-note, the tracklist for the German “One Wish” single is identical to the Austrian release”
and identical to the Spanish release, too. See EMI Spain.

Can’t wait to hear Surrender. How come not all the tracks were shown on TV before, does anyone know?
CDon.com only works for you Europeans, they won’t ship here :(
@ Steffen: Every Day I think was on one of the bonus CDs included with the Pop Hits or the Ballad Hits.

Yeeeeay!!! So, the Unplugged WILL include the outtakes! Freaking fantastic!! Buying the RoxBox seems a bit easier now... i mean, I would buy it anyway, but now it is more worth the money!
Go Roxette! And thanks a bunch!

Either TBH or TPH had a bonus EP with a.o. “Every Day” on it. But not in Germany.

This bunch of songs makes me think more of buying the whole thing... But, I have a fear, won´t it be too many videos in only one DVD? How about the quality?

I ordered mine on CDON now, 455 SEK!! But yes, the compression on that DVD will probably be as bad as the two previous DVDs. :(

YES!!!! Great news!!! Per, you do this very well!! Thank you!!! This is the complete unplugged, no??
ernes said on September 13, 2006 19:16:
Great great news!!! I really prefer this MTV than any other concert.
Yes, I also think that this won’t be top quality, there is too much for only one DVD, but, well, it will be the COMPLETE concert and the quality will be better than all those copies from MTV on the internet, so, great great great.
I knew the Rox-Box worth the money !!

Fantastic!
I didn‘t know they performed Surrender! It was not included on the internet versions of the show! It‘s really hard to find live video recordings of these old Pearls Of Passion songs. I hope this RoxBox includes some more nice surprises as well.
Starting to collect my savings...

No it is still reduced if you click on it as if you are going to order it

Ahh I see thanks Neil, ordered my a couple of days ago... but someone else wants it now, so I am ordering it for them!
Viewtiful said on September 13, 2006 20:05:
I’m afraid that if I order the Rox-Box at CDON, maybe the box gets damaged on its way to my letterbox. Has anyone ordered something bigger than a CD/DVD before? Did it arrive OK?
tomos85 said on September 13, 2006 20:13:
OMG, I’ve got sound files of “Surrender”, “Perfect day” and “Fading like a flower” (where Clarence made a mistake and audience laughed at him :) but the quality of them is horrible.
Great news came today. I suppose I have to rethink my attitude to RoxBox :-)
roxlad said on September 13, 2006 20:16:
@Viewtiful . If you are concerned about even small tears then it’s better you buy it from your local dealer which is what I’m doing.
daniel_alv said on September 13, 2006 20:25:
That does it, I’m gonna order it tomorrow for 455:- from CDON...

ncurran said on September 13, 2006 18:47:
I didn’t even realise they sang 20 tracks at the unplugged show.
Anyway, despite all my moaning about the rox box tracklist, the 2 new songs that i really love and the mtv unplugged (although i would have preferred one of their concerts on DVD) have finally persuaded me to buy the rox box....along with the fact that there is a 32% discount at CDON, which makes the price much more reasonable
