4 Tracks ? YUHUUUU.... But then again... We have those tracks :’(

cool, a different release, but a strange tracklist...

RJ1976, yes, WE have those tracks. But a single is for the public. So they can “discover” Roxette again. And to put Iy must have been love on the single is brilliant.

This single is 20 years of Roxette. :)

And we don’t really know if this is a different release either, right? The only thing we know about the single is that “Medley” should be a b-side, and it still is.

Ja... ok youre right... But normally we get something more :S

Imagine:
Me, Aussie age 15, like One Wish.
Buy single
Listen to medley, think: Hey, I know those songs from when I was 3 and the oldie’s shows on the radio.

Listen to track 3 and 4: conclude that Rox is very old-fashion. Sound like my parents music...

A new, could be fan, has left the building

A Xmas-single at the end of September?
Isn’t that a bit early?

if thats the international track listing for the single I’m not buying that either :( what the hell is going on

Would you have bought it with only One Wish and The Medley?

IMHBL and TTM? What the ...? So now we not only get albums with songs we already have, but also singles? *LOL*

Hmm maybe they are hoping the single lasts in the charts until Xmas ???

If this one is coming out 29th September in Austria then the 25th September release for the Uk could actually be right !!!

Maybe they release the UK edition? That catalogue number differs from OW at the roxette.se discography. The single is still not listed at roxette.de which normally is identical to AT and CH.

It must have been love, right. But “Turn to me” ?, I doubt it has “hit” potencial for any casual listener. They should be more generous, with “Sleeping in my car”, for example.

Any predictions for the UK release tracklisting?

1. One Wish
2. It Must have Been Love
3. Listen To Your Heart
4. Fading Like A Flower

Heh heh I hope not - it could make the single more successful though.

Why do they not release a lower priced 2-Track-Single, if they have no idea or no material left to create a useful tracklist? ;-P
If the 29th september is right, the airplay date is much too late.

Geeeez, you are all so selfish. This is a single release for the public, not for 10 complaining fans from a forum. It is meant to support the success/comeback of the artists by giving the customer/listener a wider idea of what Roxette is/was able to create.

I really wonder why some of you are whining again. There has never been any word about this release containing surprises just for fans. And who of you has the RoxMedley officially in CD quality? Some of you may have it in medium mp3 quality from illegal sources (which is a shame for the true fan anyway), that’s it. So dont’t say you have it already. The two other tracks are hard to find for the average fan who does not buy everything available.

Remember, there are still “normal” people out there who have never even heard of a second (or rather first) version of IMHBL. Not to speak about the existence of Turn To Me.

Thanx for thinking before you reply. :-)

I have the Rox Medley promo cd so I have it already ;D

But yeah I agree with thenicekai - its why the Uk market for example usually includes the “hits” on their cds - since the UK is Roxette’s most unsuccessful market they like to include their hit songs to tempt the average person. With Listen To Your Heart and Fading Like A Flower as songs that UK people may be familiar with - thanx to the covers and remixes - it could be a good idea to include them !

BTW thenicekai - you forgot to mention that some may have it in medium quality from LEGAL sources as in iTunes ;)

They are NOT hard to find.
They’re both on the Pearls of Passion remastered CD from 1997. And it’s still in print (at a mid price).

I don’t care, I’m gonna buy the single either way, but I do think it’s rather odd to release a xmas-single at the end of September.

AUT has better tracklist than only 2songs CDS One Wish + The Rox Medley...

@Strest: The average fan normally does not care about CDs that were released before the big career started. He simply doesn’t expect any hit on those releases (why should he, obviously they were not good enough to start the big career... if you know what I mean) and so he mostly ignores them. Sure, you find track 3 & 4 there, and you probably bought the disc. But again, most people out there regard Look Sharp as the first real Roxette CD.

why IMHBL Xmas? Because getting every Roxette single feels like Xmas already ;) ;) Strange track selection indeed - from all the records why POP?;) But I’m buying the single anyway...wonder what Swedish tracklist is going to be.

I hope that we can get the same here in Spain.
:)
Roxette are BACK!!! and thats the most important thing!

Maybe they’re appreciating POP reiisue for the great pop album it is...

Strange, why those 2? Christmas reissue of IMHBL (CFTBH) on the way?

whateveriam - that’s an idea !

thenicekai: Either way, this POP got released in 1997 so if you became a fan with Look Sharp you might’ve gotten it about 10 years ago.
But this is not important, I’ve purchased many Roxette-singles where I’ve already got a couple of the songs...

What I do want to know is why they decided to go with these two tracks?
Sure, they’re b-sides so it doesn’t really matter (that much), but xmas-songs at the end of September?!

For a Reveal-release at the end of November (or so) it would’ve been a great choice, but not it just feels weird.

Weird.... again, there is a lot we don’t have on cd quality (eg. I want you) that could have been picked but no more complaining for me, I’ll try to relax and enjoy the 20th anniversary.

In the UK (and america?) I think they should have:
1. One Wish
2. Must have been...
3. Opp Nox
4. The Rox Medley

Austria is also good. But not maybe for the markets in UK/US.

’I want you’ wasn’t released on EMI and it’s not just Roxette so there might be a problem with including that. I don’t know?

It has been released on CD though, but it’s hard too find since both compilations have been out of print for quite some time.

Maybe the reason for the POP songs was all the moaning about the absense of POP songs on ’Roxette Hits’..?

GT_85, your tracklist is almost the same. Just the switch of TTM with ON. I could imagine this IS the UK tracklist!

It Must Have Been Love (Christmas For The Broken Hearted) Is different mix than It Must have Been love.

Good God! You ppl STILL complaining?!

So what if it has IMHBL(Xmas) and TTM is on it?! The general public wouldnt buy it for the bsides. The Rox Medley is more than enough.

Sure I could also question TTM as I wouldve replaced it with some mix of The Big L (Seeing that its not on the GH). But why do you care?

There is just no pleasing you people. Be thankful you wont have to import the single like myself.

Cheers... pfff....
