Movie maker Jonas Åkerlund shows Roxette works in exhibition

STOCKHOLM - There is currently a Jonas Åkerlund exhibition on at the Dansmuséet in Stockholm. It runs from November 11 until March 26, 2006.

Of course we all know Jonas Åkerlund is famous for some of his work with Roxette.

Jonas Åkerlund is one of Sweden’s foremost film export successes, but few has seen the range of his creativity. In this very first exhibition of his work, we will be able to get an insight into his world through six rooms introducing different aspects of his professional career. Every room is equipped with big screens where we will experience parts of his twenty years in film. Several of these films are his very own versions which means they are uncut and never have been screened before.

The exhibition will feature everything from the most wellknown commissions with the most famous artists, to the more odd commissions in circus, commercial advertising and photography. A Jonas Åkerlund Experience will not leave anyone unaffected…

I’ve seen the movie ’Spun’ and most roxette vidoes. They were mostly all Sh*te. I don’t think he’s really that great. Madonna seems to like him though.

What i miss in this article is a piece about roxette. Can we find their videoclips?
Can we also find some gessle stuff?
Only videos/movies, or also photo’s?
And íf we can find roxette and related stuff, are it the versions we know, or his own versions?

Recomended!! One of the best thing that John Leguizamo (I’m not sure if its written right..) ever did!!

There’s nothing I can say that I haven’t said about Mr Åkerlund before. He’s amazing.

If you are able to go to the exhibition, I’d recommend it - and I’d be jealous. I’m a HUGE fan of his work. Have probably seen 80% of his stuff - from his movies, to the videos and commercials.

Hope to see his work on the Director’s Label series soon.

PS: He usually includes the vids for WICF, Anyone and Kix in his exhibitions.
