D.H.T. holds position

Written by tevensso on August 18, 2005 to .

NEW YORK - “Listen to Your Heart” by D.H.T. holds position at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100, still with a bullet. TDR expects the single to climb further as it is quite normal for a single to stand still every other week on Billboard. On the current chart there are three bullets before D.H.T., out of seven tracks.

In the UK it doesnt go like that. They has the fastest moving chart in Europe.
Song climbs fast and then drops out.

do you think it’ll hit #1? overkill, it’s the downfall of all radiostations alike.

I would actually be surprised if it climbs much further. It may move up a few spots at most I think, but there’s too much competition from the R&B-leaning tracks out there that get a wider radio audience. I think #1 is really out of the question, but it would be nice to see.

That’s cool. I must admit that I was initially nervous to read that Per had recorded “instrumentals, westerns, horny three-chord pieces, some green country, a nine-minute bubble gum pop medley, spiced with a falsetto blues”, because I appreciate his guitar-base rock-pop the most. But it soon struck me that it’s unlikely that Per would release an indulgent disjointed mix of styles without his killer melodies because it would be unlikely to sell, and soon I realised that I just had to trust him: he has never produced a boring album so there’s no reason to think that he should start now. In Gessle we trust. Yes, I like that! All the best, Rich ;-)
