Hat trick in Bears for Per!

STOCKHOLM - 
Per Gessle killed all opposition when he collected no less than three Rockbjörnar (Rock Bears) tonight at Cirkus on Djurgården in Stockholm. The Rockbjörnen is Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet’s award and it turns 25 years this year.
Per was nominated in the best male artist, best song and best album categories. “2003 was a fantastic year and 2004 has started off really well,” Per says to Aftonbladet. When receiving the grandest award of them all - best male artist - Per says “Sweet Jesus, thank you all again! See you this summer with Gyllene Tider!”
Over the years Roxette has received six Bears, Marie Fredriksson five, Gyllene Tider two and now Per Gessle three.
Last year’s record of 480,000 votes was broken with some margin; 760,000 votes this year!

Yes, Per performed the song of the year live. Unfortunately the sound producer on TV must have been deaf, because most of what I could hear was the snare drum.

there are other artists who have a lot more of Bears, copied from Aftonbladet:
- 7 björnar: Kent, Magnus Uggla.
- 6 björnar: Roxette.
- 5 björnar: U2, Bruce Springsteen, Nordman.
- 3 björnar: Lisa Nilsson, Eva Dahlgren, Dire Straits, Police, Joakim Thåström, Robyn
Then it says that if you sum up Roxette’s (6) + Marie’s + GT’s it is in total 13 (not sure how many Marie has, 4?) so now it should be 16 with Per’s :)

Marie has 5 bears by her self, and 6 with Roxette. And Per has 3 by himself, 2 with Gyllene and 6 with Roxette. So they really are king and queen of Rockbears.

I must say - as a man - that this is the first time (since my teenage times) when I get a little bit jelous on another guy. Per looks incredible. Damn, I’m only 27 and he has already “36” and he looks better than he could probably dare to imagine!!!!!!!!!

It was not live on TV. In Circus it started around 19.10 and finished few minutes before 21.00. On TV they started 20.30. The producer told us we would be faking commercial breaks. That is the magic of television!
And I also saw that Per was every time getting ready to go before they said who won. By the way, Åsa stod there with him and she looked great!
Finally, if you watch “Här kommer...” carefully, at the end of the song you will see me! Black top and HELENA written on my arm!
Of coure, Per’s performance was the best during the whole gala (Lisa Miskowsky was also very good).
