Per meets TDR 2015 – Round 1

The Per Gessle Archives for Dummies

Towards the end of last year, Per Gessle delivered a very special and impressive collection. One of the biggest collections to our knowledge actually. As always, Per responded to the fans' desire to know more about his work, his long lost demos and the origins of his classic songs. The fans were generously rewarded with a mammoth box set; The Per Gessle Archives which covered a wide range of demos, 186 to be exact, from Per's solo days, some of his Gyllene Tider career (possibly more to come, Per says) and of course, the mighty Roxette era! The Roxette train stops in Helsinki

HELSINKI - A Roxette concert is like a freight train, in both good and bad. The bad thing is that there are no surprise stops. The songs, the arrangements, even the jokes stay basically the same from town to town. On the other hand, the band is like a well-oiled machine that does its job punctually and professionally and you can be certain that you will hear some great pop tunes performed by artists who love their work. Per Gessle: “Don’t worry about Marie, folks”

The Internet was awash on Wednesday with well-wishes, positive comments and such a huge outpouring of love for Marie Fredriksson, following the unfortunate incident on stage during Roxette's Kaunas gig the day before.
