Per did a couple of live radio interviews along with TV appearance and press conference of sorts in Cape Town, South Africa yesterday. Here you can listen to an MP3 recording of the KFM radio interview, in which Per reveals that once again while on tour, they're working on new songs.
"We're preparing new songs as well, meanwhile travelling. If you're on the road like this, this becomes your lifestyle. You have to do everything on the road," he says.
STOCKHOLM – Per was on Swedish TV's "Gomorron Sverige" program on Wednesday morning.
Even without being able to understand the Swedish being spoken, the two segments that are available for viewing on the stations website (View Segment 1 | View Segment 2 ) might prove interesting, if only to see the included clips from the tour in South America or historical clips from when Roxette first topped the Billboard list in the United States with "The Look."

Amongst other trivia, Per reveals he "hasn't been to IKEA in many, many years" in this recent interview with Mart Normet of ERR-TV that includes snippets of Roxette music videos. Per singles out "Queen of Rain" and "The Look" as two of his favorite Rox melodies. He claims "the ABBA guys are much richer than me" and talks about his interest in art and Formula One. There's actually quite a bit more, and makes for interesting viewing.
As per usual Per Gessle stays up all night with a bottle of wine selecting nothing but the best songs for his audience to hear before the night's concert. The Roxette World Tour 2011, which starts on Monday, is no different. STOCKHOLM - With a few logs burning in the fireplace, Per offers a glass of glögg (mulled wine) as we sit down in a couple of comfortable chairs by the fireplace. On the table, there's a plate of pepparkakor (traditional Swedish Christmas ginger cookies).
The Daily Roxette: So Per… a new album, a brand spanking fresh single, an upcoming world tour. The fans say ‘woohoo’, what say you?
Per Gessle: I say ‘Yee-Haa!’. We're very pleased with the new album. We decided early on to try to make a classic Roxette record and I think we succeeded. Also, since Marie is very motivated and up for any challenge these days, a full scale Roxette tour feels just right.
We certainly long for these upcoming shows!! You know me, I love playing music with these people. And to have the benefit of the Rox crowds all over the planet you can't help but to shout ‘Yee-Haa!’
