While Per Gessle is in Stockholm today, Radio P4 Halland called him to ask about today’s release, ”Name You Beautiful”. Per says he was very happy when he was asked to write a song for the WTTC, which is a huge event that will happen in Halmstad. He says he is not into the ”we should fight and we should win” type of texts, so he rather tried to write a song that has a feeling, simply a positive song. Did he succeed? Thanx so much for all the positive feedback re Name You Beautiful and the upcoming tour. Appreciate you're taking the time and being so positive. And I've realized there are lots of q's in the air.....
1. Yes, there will be a NYB vinyl single (one in yellow, one in blue) but it won't be available for another six weeks. It takes FOREVER to manufacture vinyls these days since most factories have closed down and the waiting lists are LOOOONG. Sorry to keep you vinyl addicts waiting!!!
2. Yes, there is still time FOR YOU to perform in the NYB-video!! Just send in your NYB-singing along vids or playing ping-pong clips to [email protected] - Ten seconds will do,folks! It's gonna be so cool to edit all the stuff you send in. And we got some really cool pro players joining in as well. i might even do a backhand myself!
3. Yes, there are even more shows getting added to the Per Gessle's Roxette Tour. Check out www.gessle.com once in a while to update yourself. That's what I do!

PER GESSLE’S OFFICIAL SONG FOR THE WC IN TABLE-TENNIS, “Name You Beautiful” is out today Friday March 23th!
Halmstad native Per Gessle, with a track record of 80 million albums sold worldwide, is supporting the World Table Tennis Championship in Halmstad with a song composed especially for the event that will be seen by 350 million viewers all over the world.
Over 100 nations will participate in the LIEBHERR World Team Table Tennis Championships at Halmstad Arena between April 29th and May 6th 2018. Visitors will also be able to enjoy world famous artist Per Gessle's music, as he is behind the official WTTC-song "Name You Beautiful", performed together with Helena Josefsson.
– When I was asked to write the official song for the tournament I didn’t hesitate. I was really up for the challenge. I wrote it together with some other local Halmstad-musicians, namely the guys from Galavant (Sebastian Atas and Victor Sjöström). Their super talented friend Viktor Broberg also contributed. We had lots of fun, says Gessle in a statement, adding: – The song isn't really a netball, more like a killer smash in the backhand corner!
Per Gessle recently announced his European tour “Per Gessle´s Roxette” that he will embark on this fall. The tour will hit seventeen cities starting October 11th in Hamburg, Germany and make its grand final November 16th at Scandinavium Arena in Gothenburg, Sweden. For tickets visit www.livenation.se

“Name You Beautiful” will also be released as a 7” colored vinyl single. This is a limited edition of only 1000 copies of which half is blue vinyl and the other half yellow vinyl. On the B-side there will also be a remix by Galavant.
