Roxette’s ONE and ONLY Australian show… err… becomes NINE!

Having been knocked back by two Aussie promoters, largely ignored by EMI Australia for the better part of two decades and having not stepped foot on Australian soil since early 1995, Roxette will make their ass-kicking triumphant return to Australia with nine super shows!

Another two shows have recently been added to the list, this time, second shows for Melbourne and Brisbane on the 22nd and 24th of February 2012.

What started out as an exclusive one-off show for Sydney fans only, has now grown into a monster tour, as Roxette are now playing more Aussie dates than they did during their Crash! Boom! Bang! tour and just one show less than their 1991 visit during the Join the Joyride tour.

Legendary pop duo Roxette are ecstatic with the response from their Australian fans and have confirmed the additional dates to ensure that no fans miss out.

In order to schedule the additional dates for Melbourne and Brisbane, it has been necessary to reschedule the Perth dates as follows;

All Perth tickets will be valid for the same seating allocations on the new dates. If Roxette fans can’t attend the new dates, a full refund is available.

Australian audiences have welcomed the Swedish duo back with open arms. And there’s no doubt that Roxette love Australia back! Singer Marie Fredriksson met her husband-to-be in Sydney. And they have even shot some of their music videos in various locations around Australia! Some even say that the idea for their fourth album, Tourism: Songs from Studios, Stages, Hotelrooms & Other Strange Places came to them while they were out one night in Perth! (Tourism went on to reach number 5 in the Australian charts and has sold nearly seven million copies worldwide!)

Roxette have topped the charts three times in Australia with singles “It Must Have Been Love,” “Joyride” and “The Look.” With a catalogue of mega hits including “It Must Have Been Love,” “Joyride,” “Listen To Your Heart,” “How Do You Do!,” “Sleeping In My Car,” “Dressed For Success” and “The Look,” this tour is set to be one of THE live events of the 2012 calendar.

Joining Roxette for these special Australian shows are 1927. Their 1989 album …Ish is one of the highest selling debut albums by an Australian band. 1927’s hit singles “If I Could,” “That’s When I Think of You,” “You’ll Never Know” and “Compulsory Hero” still remain radio favorites more than 20 years after their release.
