Roxette to receive award on international TV program
Roxette has accepted an invitiation to attend the World Music Awards in Monte Carlo where they will be presented with an award for "World's best-selling Scandinavian Act of the Year (1999)" according to the Official Roxette Fanclub. The May 10th awards show is the 12th such event and will be broadcast on ABC (American Broadcasting Company) and 150 other international networks to an estimated 900 million people around the world.
Roxette will perform "Wish I Could Fly", the lead single from the Have A Nice Day album.
Assuming that their segment is not cut, this will be the first time — in countries like the United States, for example — that Roxette has appeared on television in many years.
