Aftonbladet has listed the hottest artist of Sweden in 1997 with the help of Sweden's 12 biggest record companies. The number 1 is Kent, but from the 12th place you can find Per Gessle! Last year Aftonbladet made a same kind of list, but then Per was #8.
Aftonbladet has also an article which tells that Per's solo album ”The World According To Gessle” was the 23rd best selling album in Sweden in 1997. The album sold in total 76000 copies. Gyllene Tider was #25 with ”Halmstads Pärlor” (73000 copies) despite the fact that the album was released in 1995. ”Återtåget / Gyllene Tider Live!” has so far sold only 28000 copies.
